Security Engineer, Platform and Identity

About the Role

The Security Engineer will own security architecture for ORC8R's certificate authority, tenant isolation and secrets management systems. This role is responsible for security review of new platform features and preparing the company for enterprise compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Own and improve certificate authority design, including issuance, rotation and lifecycle management for organizations and projects
  • Strengthen tenant isolation across networking, storage and secrets management as the platform scales
  • Conduct threat modeling and security review for new features prior to release
  • Build automated tooling to detect and prevent security issues
  • Support enterprise and on premises customers through compliance related requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • Four or more years of experience in security engineering with production level responsibility
  • Strong understanding of public key infrastructure, certificate lifecycles and secrets management
  • Experience securing multi tenant systems or infrastructure platforms
  • Ability to work directly with engineering teams to remediate security issues
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Austin, Texas

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with network isolation techniques such as overlay networking or software defined networking
  • Familiarity with Rust or other systems level languages
  • Experience supporting SOC 2, ISO 27001 or similar compliance frameworks

Compensation and Benefits
